Privacy Policy (POPIA)
GuardComms is a trading name of Script Technologies (Pty) Ltd, the responsible party for personal information collected through this website under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect and why
When you use the enquiry form we collect the details you enter, which may include your name, company, mobile number, email address, province, interest, number of users and message. We use them only to respond to your request, and we ask for your consent before you send the form.

Who receives your information
Your enquiry is seen by GuardComms sales staff of Script Technologies (Pty) Ltd. We also use service providers (called operators in POPIA) to run the website and handle enquiries:
- Cloudflare hosts the website and runs the enquiry handling (Cloudflare Workers) and the Turnstile bot-protection check on the enquiry form.
- Microsoft 365 hosts the info@guardcomms.co.za mailbox where enquiry emails are delivered.
- Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads are used only after you accept analytics and advertising cookies, and only once they have been set up for this site.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Where your information is processed
These providers run global networks, so your information may be processed outside South Africa. Under section 72 of POPIA we only send personal information abroad where the recipient is bound by an agreement that gives it a level of protection substantially similar to POPIA, or where you have consented, or where the law otherwise allows it.
How long we keep it
We keep an enquiry for 24 months after our last contact with you, and then delete it. If you become a customer, we keep your information for as long as your contract and our legal record-keeping duties require.
How we protect it
The website is served over an encrypted connection, the enquiry form is protected against automated abuse, and access to enquiries is limited to staff who need them to respond.
Your rights
You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, and to correct or delete it, and you may object to its processing or withdraw your consent. Write to privacy@guardcomms.co.za.
Complaints to the Information Regulator
If you believe we have not handled your personal information properly, you may complain to the Information Regulator. We would appreciate the chance to resolve it with you first.
